NAMHE has joined the RMA and BFE to host a ‘study day’ and workshop on Music, Well-Being, and Mental Health. The event will take place 12-13 May at York St John University. RMA, BFE and NAMHE members and students in member institutions are all welcome to this two-day event free of charge.

The Key Note speaker will be Ros Hawley, and will deliver a reflexive study of musician and healthcare practice in a UK paediatric hospital setting.

Other topics include stress and wellbeing of performers, mental health and HE musicians, workshops in mindfulness and yoga for musicians, strategies for LGBT academics and allies, a music therapy workshop, and a roundtable on strategies for well-being and mental health for music practitioners and researchers.
